The Fleeing the Complex game is the fifth epic adventure in the Henry Stickmin series. Henry is captured and sent to ‘The Wall’, a massive, high-security prison complex. You must help him escape by making a series of critical choices, leading to five distinct endings and over 60 hilarious fails.
Like its predecessors, Fleeing the Complex is a ‘choose your own path’ interactive movie. At key moments, the game will pause and present you with several options (items or actions). You click the one you want to try. This will trigger an animated scene. If you chose… poorly… you will be shown a unique ‘FAIL’ screen. You are then sent back to your last choice. This installment introduces ‘co-op’ choices, where you must rely on a new character, Ellie Rose. It also features more quick-time events (QTEs) where you must press a key or click quickly to succeed.
The goal is to find all the fails. Do not just try to ‘win’. The fails are the best part. After you get an ending, go back and explore the other branches. You can use the map to see which paths you have not tried. To get all the medals, you must not only find all 5 endings, but also click on hidden characters and items in the background during the cutscenes. This game is a masterpiece of comedy, building on the simple formula of Escaping the Prison with more complex narratives.
The controls for Fleeing the Complex unblocked are mostly mouse-based, but add keyboard QTEs for more intense action sequences.
Be ready for the QTEs. They come fast and are often part of the funniest sequences in the Fleeing the Complex game. Your reflexes will be tested!
There are five unique, major endings: ‘Ghost Inmate’ (GI), ‘Presumed Dead’ (PD), ‘International Rescue Operative’ (IRO), ‘The Betrayed’ (TB), and ‘Convict Allies’ (CA). There is also one ‘joke’ ending.
Ellie Rose is a new character introduced in this game. She is another inmate at The Wall. Depending on your choices, she can become your loyal partner or your worst enemy. She is a crucial part of the ‘Convict Allies’ and ‘The Betrayed’ storylines.</p
It is not required, but it is highly recommended. Fleeing the Complex is full of references and returning characters from the previous games. Playing them in order (Breaking the Bank, Escaping the Prison, Stealing the Diamond, Infiltrating the Airship) makes the story much richer.
