The Jumping Shell game is a unique puzzle-platformer. You control a small character. This character has the ability to ‘pop’ out of their shell, leaving it behind to press buttons or block projectiles.
In Jumping Shell, your goal is to get your character to the level exit. Your main ability is to ‘jump’ out of your shell. When you do this, your character flies out, but the shell drops to the ground. You can then walk around as the vulnerable character, but you cannot jump high. You must return to your shell to get it back. The puzzles revolve around using your shell. You might leave it on a pressure plate to keep a door open, then navigate a maze, and then recall your shell.
Think about ‘actions and consequences’. If you leave your shell, where will it land? Can you get back to it? Some levels require you to use the shell as a platform or a shield. Do not forget you are very vulnerable outside your shell. This game is all about ‘out of the box’ thinking. Sometimes the solution is to leave the shell behind, and sometimes it is to use it in a way you did not expect. It is a slow, thoughtful game, the opposite of the frantic Moto X3M.
The controls for Jumping Shell unblocked are key to the puzzles.
You must get used to controlling both the character in the shell and the character outside of it. The challenge in Jumping Shell is 100% mental.
In most levels, if your shell is destroyed (e.g., by spikes), you will have to restart the level. The shell is a critical part of your puzzle-solving toolkit.
It is a difficult puzzle game, not a hard action game. It does not require fast reflexes, but it does require a lot of creative thinking and logic to solve the clever level designs.
