The Orange game (often called Cover Orange) is a popular physics-based puzzle game. Your goal is to protect a friendly orange (or several oranges) from an evil, acid-rain-dropping cloud. You do this by strategically dropping a limited set of objects, like barrels and wheels, to build a sturdy shelter over the fruit.
At the start of each level in Orange, you see the layout, the orange, and the objects you have in your inventory. You use your mouse to pick up and drop these objects. The objects will fall, roll, and settle based on physics. You must place them in such a way that they create a roof or a nook that completely covers the orange. After you place all your items, the evil cloud will appear and rain acid. If your orange is hit, you fail.
Think about stability. Do not just stack things; try to create a stable triangle or a well-braced structure. Use wheels to ‘plug’ small gaps. Sometimes you need to use an object to push the orange into a safer position before building the shelter. Look for a ‘secret star’ in each level for an extra challenge.
The controls for Orange unblocked are incredibly simple:
The game is a wonderful mix of physics and logic. The creative problem-solving in Orange is a nice change of pace from the rigid logic of a game like Minesweeper.
The difficulty curve is excellent. It starts very easy to teach you the mechanics, but later levels become very challenging, requiring precise placement and clever use of the physics engine.
If your structure collapses and fails to cover the orange before the rain starts, you will have to restart the level. A stable build is just as important as a complete one.
