If your ball hits a black platform while it is smashing, your ball shatters, and the game is over. You must release your hold to make the ball stop smashing and just bounce on the platforms. The helix tower is always rotating. You must time your ‘smashes’ to only happen when there are colorful platforms below you. You must lift and ‘bounce’ to let the tower rotate and find a new, safe path. You win a level by smashing all the way to the bottom. If you smash through many platforms in a row without stopping, you will build up a ‘fireball’ mode, which lets you smash through everything, including the black platforms, for a short time.
